Amy J. Dierksen, 87, of Clinton passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Mercy Living Center North.
Memorial Services will be 1:00 pm, Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery. Amy Jeanne Bliesmer was born October 2, 1930 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Harry and Pauline (Beamer) Bliesmer. She was a 1948 graduate of Clinton High School. She married Edward Dierksen on November 24, 1950 in Clinton, Iowa; he preceded her in death on November 15, 2002.
Amy worked as a supervisor of income maintenance for the Department of Human Services for 17 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church Clinton, the Moose Lodge, the Eagles Club, and most recently very active with the Clinton AMVETS club. She enjoyed bowling and golf and was a member of the Fulton Country Club.
Amy is survived by her two children: Diane Dierksen of LaCrosse, Wisconsin and John (Jane) Dierksen of LaVerne, California; four grandchildren: Claire Dierksen, Sarah Dierksen, Katlyn Mittan and Elizabeth Mittan; and one sister: Joanne Rohwer of Clinton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
