Brian Scott Wright died at home in Grand Bay, Alabama on December 19, 2017.
Brian was born May 18, 1968 in San Diego, California, the son of Robert Wright and Marvel (Butts) Wright.
He grew up in Clinton Iowa, graduating from Clinton High School. Brian enjoyed playing high school football, basketball, and track and field. After high school Brian moved to Arizona, California, then made his way to Alaska where became a production welder. He spent most of his career working in Alaska from Prudhoe Bay to the Kenai peninsula. Some of the welding projects Brian worked on were the Alaska pipeline and Oooguruk Island.
In his spare time, Brian enjoyed fishing and camping in the summer, and snow machining along Alaska glaciers in the winter. Brian was an avid motorcyclist, taking many road trips with his wife Michelle. Brian and Michelle had recently moved from Alaska to Alabama, where they had been looking forward to expanding their riding season and exploring new areas.
Brian will be forever remembered by his wife Michelle, daughters Cazlin and Alexandra, father and step mother Robert and Caralee, step father Donald , grandmother Melva, sisters Gloria (John), Thalia (Joel), Saralee, Jeanine (Michael), Becky (Henry), Stacey (Gilbert), Sonya (Kevin), brother Eric (Tammy), and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Brians life will be held for family and friends Saturday, April 7 from noon to 3pm at the Moose Lodge in Clinton, Iowa (1936 Lincoln Way).
Brian will be remembered and missed for the smile and laughter he gave easily and often, and his hopeless romantic nature.
In honor of Brian, and his easy going, casual style, please feel free to dress in jeans, and flannel shirts for this celebration.
