Clint Douglas Lingle, age 61 of Chicago, Illinois formerly of Preston, Iowa, passed away Tuesday July 9, 2019 at home. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 on Tuesday July 16, 2019 at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Preston. Burial rites will be in the Preston Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00-12:00 prior to the service at the funeral home. Family and friends are invited to share in Clint's life at www.lawjonesfuneralhome.com.
Clint was born June 26, 1958, in Maquoketa, Iowa, the son of Walter and Gloria (Clark) Lingle. He graduated from Preston High School, class of 1976. After high school, Clint studied music and computers. He then moved to Chicago and found work in the financial district. He worked several years at Mesiro Financial as a Cashiers Manager, then later worked at the Shamrock Club in Chicago.
He loved to cook and socialize with friends and family. In his younger years, Clint enjoyed playing music and was skilled at many different instruments including the accordion, piano, clarinet, French horn, and guitar.
Clint will be dearly missed by his two brothers, Alan Lingle of Maquoketa, Iowa and Larry (Joan) Lingle of Williamsburg, Iowa; a brother-in-law Ronnie Gasper of Calamus, Iowa; one niece, three nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Clint is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Gloria, and his sister Donna.

Clint was one of my best friends in high school. Such a special guy. Sorry to see him pass away at such a young age. My sympathies to all.
