David 's Story
David A. Norman, 40, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2018, surrounded by his family after a 13-month battle with brain cancer. He was in St. Anthony's Hospital in Rockford.
David was born January 5, 1977, the son of Ron and Bonnie Norman of Chadwick, IL.
During his life Dave worked in manufacturing, most recently at P & P Industry in Sterling. He loved the outdoors, camping, fishing and morel hunting. He played drums, and with his brother Tom and their friends, formed a band. He was a cubs fan, but his passion was Ford Mustangs. Dave was a man always concerned about his family and others. Although he admitted that he had pain, his family never heard him complain as he struggled to fight the glioblastoma.
Survivors include his son, Jonathon, girlfriend, Christina Boone and her daughter Natalee, parents, brothers, Tom Norman and Tim Nye, sister Tina Updike, uncles, Ron Zink, Mike Norman, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
David was registered as an organ donor. His cremains will be buried next to his maternal grandparents, Merle and Dorothy Zink. A Celebration of Life is January 13, visiting from 1-3; celebration - sharing at 3:00 at Chadwick Evangelical Free Church, main Street, Chadwick, IL.
