Donald Emil Mattan

Events

Don loved golfing, traveling, eating and helping others. He was devoted to his family and his faith. He enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserve and attended Augustana College before beginning his career in purchasing as a procurement manager. After his retirement, he pursued a second career in nursing. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Loretta, and his parents, August Sr. and Josephine, his brothers, August Jr., Joseph, Emil and James. Survivors include children, Curt and wife Stacia, Darice and husband Michael, Dianna and husband Blaine and Drew; 9 grandchildren; 2 sisters; 1 brother; numerous extended family members and friends. A Memorial Mass is planned at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Michael Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Michael Catholic Church Pastoral Care Training Fund.
