Donald H. Shaw, 90, of Camanche, passed away, Saturday, September 30, 2017 surrounded by his family at home.

Donald Harry Shaw, Sr., was born on April 25, 1927 in Clinton, the son of Harry M. and Laura B. (Hatfield) Shaw. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He married Annabell M. Marr on February 7, 1945 in Clinton; they had five children: Don Jr., Dianna, Jacquelyn, Reva, and Philip.
Don was a truck driver for Carstensens Freight Lines from 1943 until retiring in 1989. He was proud to have logged over 4 million miles in his career.
Don enjoyed camping, fishing, bowling, and boating. He also had the pleasure to have built 5 houses and a barn as he enjoyed woodworking.
Don is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Ann of Camanche; their children and 10 grandchildren: Don (Cathy) Shaw, Jr. of Valrico, Florida and their children: Pam Jermeir, Scott Shaw, and Lisa Shaw; Dianna Shaw of Camanche and her children: Angela Black and Matthew Dahl; Jacquelyn (Bernie) Vogel of Camanche and their children: Dan Vogel and Melissa Atkinson; Reva Shaw (deceased) and her son: Andrew Keeling; Philip (Pam) Shaw of Clinton; and their children: Amanda Anson and Matthew Shaw; 13 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandsons, and two sister-in-laws: Eva Steines of Clinton and Joan Marr of Altas, Arkansas. In addition to his daughter he was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
