He loved his community and was a member of the St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Preston and the Izaak Walton League in Sabula. He also enjoyed bowling in several area leagues and playing cards, especially Euchre. He also enjoyed the outdoors, especially gardening and playing softball in his younger years. When Don was at home, he enjoyed watching TV and was an avid LA Dodgers Baseball fan. Most of all, Don cherished spending time with his close family and friends.
