Earl Bud Richard Fenn, Jr., native of Clinton, Iowa, passed away peacefully January 10, 2018 in Orange, California, at the age of 92.
Born in Clinton, Iowa, September 9, 1925, Bud grew up on the 1300 block of Comanche Avenue. Active in the YMCA, delivered papers for Clinton Herald, attended Clinton High School (1943), entered U. S. Navy same year. Served in Pacific Theater during World War II, proud to be U. S. Navy veteran. Attended Clinton Junior College (1946-1948), received B. A. from Carthage College, 1951, and M. A. from The University of Iowa, 1953. Avid sports fan and participant in high school and college sports, particularly basketball.
Upon moving to California, Bud taught junior high school history and civics in city of Garden Grove from 1954 to 1986. Bud made numerous visits to Clinton to visit friends and relatives.
Preceded in death by his mother Lillian and father Earl R. Fenn, Sr., his sister Shirley J. Fenn, and his daughter Karen M. Fenn. He is survived by his son Eric L. Fenn of Brea, California, and Paula Joanne Redin Clement of Orange, mother of his children.
A Celebration of Life was held at Bud's home in Orange, CA on January 28, attended by immediate family, friends and neighbors.
