James J. Macke, 65, of Camanche passed away, Sunday, April 16, 2017 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics - Iowa City.
Funeral Services will be 6:00 pm, Friday, April 21, 2017 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. After the services his body will be cremated. James Joseph Macke was born September 17, 1951 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Joseph and Leora (Reiling) Macke, Sr. He worked for Caterpillar Tractor in Mount Joy, Iowa for 21 year until it closed, he then worked for Collis Tool until his retirement.
Jim enjoyed golfing, camping, playing cards and especially time spent with family and friends.
He is survived by his companion of 25 years Madonna Clark of Camanche; one son: Jeff Minner of Clinton; three siblings: Ed (Sue) Macke of Parkersburg, West Virginia, Joseph Macke, Jr. of Clinton and Elaine Macke-McKinney of Camanche; his dog, Faith; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother.
