Joseph H. Cavanaugh Joseph H. Cavanaugh, 82, of Clinton, passed away, Sunday, December 2, 2018 at the Alverno.

Funeral Services will be 10:00am, Monday, December 10, 2018 at Chancy Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Haack, Chris Haack, Steve Lovejoy, Cliff DeLarm, Terry Baldwin, and Kurt Charnoski. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00-3:00pm at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory.

Joseph Harry Cavanaugh was born on July 11, 1936 in Clinton, the son of Harry and Eleanor (Bennett) Cavanaugh. He was a 1957 graduate of Clinton High School. He served in the United States Army during Korea from 1958-1960. He married Joyce Haack on July 11, 1964 in Clinton.

Joe was a cement finisher for many years. He was a 50 plus year member of Local 43 and worked for Ringland Johnson retiring in 1998. He was a member of Chancy Lutheran Church, enjoyed running his beagles and was active in the East Central Iowa Beagle Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He enjoyed his beagle Snoopy.

Joe is survived by his wife: Joyce of Clinton; his children: Mark Cavanaugh of Clinton, and Lisa (Michael) Laughlin of Milan, Illinois; two grandchildren: Sidney and Emily Laughlin; his sister: Janice Haack of Bettendorf; his sister-in-law: Beverly Haack of Ozaark, Missouri, and brother-in-law: David Haack of Branson, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister: Rosemary.

Memorials can be made to Chancy Lutheran Church.
