Larry Dorian VanZuiden, 77, died Saturday, January 20th, 2018.
He was born August 9th, 1941 to Marvin & Margret (Schaver) VanZuiden in Fulton, Illinois, the oldest of 5 children.
He served in the Army during the Vietnam war as a quarryman, powder man and then a lifeguard.
After nine years of dating he married Diana Hager in 1992.
He worked at Petersen Hagge Furniture hanging drapes and as an assistant foreman, and retired from Brinkman Building Center after 28 years.
Upon his retirement and moving to Wisconsin, he volunteered at Circus World Museum and various senior meal sites, bring meals to those that were homebound. He enjoyed being around people, telling stories, fishing, traveling and doing puzzles.
Larry is survived by his Wife and daughters Tracy Gamble, Dallas, TX. Rhonda (Stacey) Robertson, Clinton, IA. Ardella VanZuiden, Senora, CA. Sons Ken Vanzuiden, Annawan, IL. Rod (Claudia) Gossard, Fulton, IL. Rory (Julie) Hager, Fulton, IL. Dennis (Jessica) Hager, Clinton, IA. Dan (Christine) Hager, Albany, IL. Sisters Arla (Skip) Tomman, Linda Davis both of Fulton, IL. Mike (Regina) VanZuiden, Ottowa, IL. Don (Terry) VanZuiden, Albuquerque, NM. 32 grandchildren & 39 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his son Jeff and brother in law Lloyd Davis.
According to his wishes there will be no funeral. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
