Lucille F. Huggins, 90, of Lanark, IL, passed away on December 29, 2017 at Good Samaritan Society in Mt. Carroll, IL. She was born on February 19, 1927 in Genesee, IL, to James Leroy and Edna (Paschal) Flynn. She married Howard Huggins on January 2, 1945. She was a farm wife until Howard passed away, then, worked at Elkay for 19 years. Lucille enjoyed sewing, crafts, and ceramics. Most of all, she enjoyed watching the birds and the flowers.
Survivors include her 2 sons: James (Elaine) Huggins, Richard (Judy Eaton) Huggins; 1 daughter: Lois Hunsaker; grandchildren: John Huggins, Curtis and Cathy Hunsaker; stepdaughter: Debbie Hunsaker; great-grandchildren: Francesca Huggins, Morgan and Ethan Hamilton; step-grandson: Zack McComb; two brothers: Michael Flynn of Sterling, IL, and William Flynn of Polo, IL; four sisters: Lavonne (Bonnie) Williams of Rock Falls, IL, Arlene Kimmer of Clinton, IA, Carol Goepfert of Argyle, WI, and Mary Jacobsen of West Palm Beach, FL.
She is preceded in death by son, Bradley Dean at infancy, husband Howard in 1967, two brothers, Laverne (Joe) Flynn and Frank Flynn, and one sister Lorraine Baily.
Service will be held on Thursday January 4, 2018 at 11 AM, at the First Brethren Church of Lanark, with Pastor Ellis Boughton officiating. A visitation will be held at the church from 9 AM until the time of service. Burial will be at Lusk Cemetery in Albany, IL. A memorial has been established in her memory.
