Marilyn's Story

Marilyn A. Foster, 70, of Rock Island, formerly of Coal Valley, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at St. Anthonys Continuing Care, Rock Island.
There will be no services. Private burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Maria Goretti Church, Coal Valley or St. Anthonys Care Center Residential Activity Center.
Marilyn was born May 17, 1947 in Clinton, the daughter of John and Patricia (Scanlon) Foster.
Marilyn was a graduate from Mt. St. Claire Academy, Clinton. She worked at the former Clinton Garment Co. for over 20 years. She retired from Jewel-Osco, Moline, from the deli department.
Marilyn was a beautiful sewer and enjoyed cross stitching and ceramics.
Survivors include her sister, Kathy (Bill) Farber, Coal Valley, whom she lived with; nephews, Matthew (Liz) Farber, Cary, NC and Brian (Deb) Farber, Milan, Danny Foster, Clinton and best friends, Carolyn Stuckel, Janet and Barb all of Clinton and many great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bill Foster, nephew, Billy Foster and special friend, Bill Bendixen, Clinton.
