Nanci C. Brown, age 67 of Clinton, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017 at her home. In following Nancis wishes cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no visitation or services. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Nanci was born in Clinton on April 19, 1950, the daughter of Norbert J. and Dorothy L. (Goodsman) Allcox. She graduated from Thornridge High School in Dolton, IL.
Nanci married Jim Brown on September 16, 1995 in Tennessee. Jim passed away on December 19th. Nanci had been a real estate agent in Dolton and had also been employed as a bartender at the Dolton VFW. She was a former member of the Eagle Club. Nanci loved her grandchildren. She enjoyed telling stories, cooking, sewing and making coats, buying gifts, going to Walmart and shopping on Ebay and Amazon. She had a love of jewelry and was probably Elviss and Princes Dis biggest fan.
Nanci is survived by three children, Dana (Ted) Parker of Sulpher, LA, Dina (Richard) Hamstra of Dyersburg, TN and David (Sheena) Kundid of West Des Moines; five grandchildren, Dieter, Mark, Courtney, Jacob and Jonathon; five great grandchildren with a 6th on the way; a step-daughter, Katrina (Mike) Brown of Lake Wood, CA and three step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; her daughter Dawn; two grandsons Douglas and Ted Jr; a granddaughter, Deanna, and a brother, Jim.
