Naomi (Noni)'s Story
Naomi (Noni) R. Fisher, 86, of Clinton, died Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at the Alverno.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at the Evangelical Free Church. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:30 am to the service time at the church. Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
Naomi Ruth Cox was born on September 8, 1931 in Colfax, Washington, the daughter of Clifford and Alyssa (Brooks) Cox. She married Donald Fisher on September 27, 1947 in Portland, Oregon by William Booth-Clibborn, the grandson of the founder of the Salvation Army. Donald died December 23, 2017.
Naomi was a beautician working in Fulton and Camanche. After retiring, she worked in public relations with Clinton Back & Neck. She enjoyed playing bridge, gardening, and using her creative talents in design. She was member of the Tri-S Woman's Club and had been a member of Beta Sigma Phi for over 50 years.
Naomi is survived by two daughters: Becky (Roger) Campbell of Clinton, and Joy (Hans) Hinrichsen of Clinton, 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; three brothers: Norman Cox of Dalles, Oregon, George Cox of Spokane, Washington, Frank Cox of Spokane, Washington; and her sister: Florence Malinak of Spokane, Washington. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, one sister, and her son: Alvin.
Memorials can be made to the Salvation Army.
