Paul M. Pearson, 78, of Winter Haven, Florida, formerly of Clinton, passed away, August 17, 2017 in Winter Haven, Florida. Graveside Services will be 10:30 am, Friday, September 22, 2017 at Springdale Cemetery with military honors being conducted by the Clinton AMVETS Post #28. Paul Martin Pearson was born on March 14, 1939 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, the son of Floyd T. and Henrietta Pearson. He was a 1957 graduate of Clinton High School and later graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a degree in Architecture. He went on to serve in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Paul was employed with various engineering firms as an architect throughout the country. He was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity at Carnegie Mellon University and AIA and CSI. He loved singing in choirs, gardening and sharing humorous stories and was an active member of the Toastmasters.
Paul is survived by his wife: Susan Strunk-Pearson of Winter Haven, Florida, two daughters: Tabitha (Larry Marshall) Pearson-Marshall of Carmel, New York, and Linnea (Alan) Leclair of New Milford, Connecticut; and three grandchildren: Ivy and Willow Marshall and Emrin Leclair. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters: Kathleen and Kjersten.
