Rita Ann Reed, 70, of Clinton, Iowa passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Mercy Hospital, Clinton. Services will be held 11AM Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the Clinton Church of Christ with Pastor David Manley officiating. Visitation will be held from 10AM until the service hour at the church. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig is assisting the family with the service. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting snellzornig.com.

Rita Ann Mays was born January 18, 1947 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of George and Olive (Liby) Mays. She was a 1965 Clinton High School graduate. Rita married Paul Reed on February 8, 1969 in Clinton.

Rita had been employed at Eagle Foods, the Clinton School district and had been the financial secretary at the Clinton Church of Christ for many years where she was a long time member.

Survivors include her husband, Paul Reed of Clinton; sons, Shawn (Vickie) Reed and Eric Reed both of Clinton; granddaughter, Alyssa Reed of Clinton; great-grandson, Colten Reed and brothers, Ralph Mays of Clinton and George (Marylou) Mays of Belvidere, IL.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Leighann Reed and her parents.

Memorials may be made to the Clinton Church of Christ Benevolence.
