RONALD E. LEFFLER, SR., 83, of Fulton, IL, died Saturday, November 18, 2017, at Pleasant View Home, Morrison, IL.
The funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, November 24, 2017, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home with visitation from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment will be at Fulton Township Cemetery.
Ron was born November 6, 1934 in Stockport, IA, to Otis and Ruth (McVey) Leffler. He was educated in the Stockport grade schools and was a graduate of Stockport High School. Ron was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War. Ron married Joanne Goodin on July 2, 1954 in Columbus, GA. She died December 26, 2000. Ron was first engaged in farming in the rural Stockport, IA area. He later worked as a Prudential Insurance Agent. Most recently, he was employed as a truck driver and served as manager for Truck Transport, Inc. in Albany, IL.
Survivors include one daughter, Brenda Piercy of Fulton, IL; two sons, Ronald (Rebecca) Leffler, Jr. of Bumpus Mills, TN and Keith (Kathy) Leffler of Fulton, IL; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and one brother, Kenny (Linda) Leffler of Huachia City, AZ.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Joanne; and one son, Alan Leffler.
