Terry Lee Cousins, 67, formerly of Grand Mound and DeWitt, Iowa, died Friday evening, May 11, 2018, at University of Iowa Hospital, Iowa City.
He was born November 30, 1950, in Davenport to Clement and Evelyn (Krukow) Cousins and attended DeWitt schools. Terry was employed by Oscar Meyer, Davenport for 30 years, retiring in 1999. He loved fishing, farming, raising poultry and livestock and tending to his large garden.
Surviving are children, Eric (Amber) Cousins of DeWitt, Tera Cousins of Davenport, Sebastian (Jonna) Cousins of Cherry Point, North Carolina and Dawn (Tim) Parris of DeWitt; grandchildren, Hannah Cousins, Andrew Cousins, Cody DeMoss, Caleb Cousins, Shelby Parris, Kaelyn Parris and Jaeda Parris, Remmington Cousins and Aza Cousins; a sister, Judy (Todd Castro) Jansen of Clinton; nieces and nephews, Nick (Margaret) Crosthwaite, Michele (Robert) Ringen and Chris McMahon.
Preceding Terry in death were sons, Tobias Cousins and Chad Cousins, his parents and a sister, Cheryl Andersson.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt from 9:00 until 10:45 a.m. Thursday, May 17, 2018. A service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with the Rev. Jealaine Marple officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt. Memorials are suggested to Clinton Humane Society.
Pallbearers will be Eric Cousins, Nick Crosthwaite, Chris McMahon, Dwayne Hartz, Sebastian Cousins, Shawn McMahon and Todd Castro.
