Donald Matthew McKinley, 43, passed away, Monday, August 7, 2017 at Sanford Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, surrounded by his family.
Donnie was born on November 9, 1973, the son of Don and Sheila (Dennis) McKinley in Clinton, Iowa. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1992. He was an outstanding baseball and football player. He was all conference in football his junior and senior year, and was All State in football his senior year. Upon graduating he accepted a full ride football scholarship from Iowa State University.
Donnie loved to duck and deer hunt. The thing he loved to do the most was spend time with his daughter, Jacey. He really enjoyed watching her compete in Tae Kwon Do. He was very proud of her becoming a second degree black belt. He was a big time Dallas Cowboy fan. He was employed by the John Morrell Company in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He was a member of the International Union, AFL-CIO & CLC, and a member of the First United Methodist Church Clinton.
Donnie is survived by his parents: Don and Sheila McKinley of Camanche, his pride and joy Jacey McKinley of Camanche; his sister: Stacey (Joseph) Miele, nephews: Cole, Corbin, and Jayden Miele all of Clinton; his maternal grandmother: Anna Dennis of Clinton; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: William and Martha McKinley and Hiley Dennis.
