Edwin L. Mussman, 82, of Clinton, passed away, Monday, March 6, 2017 at Mercy Living Center-North.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 am, Thursday, March 9, 2017 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Mussman, Zachary Mussman, Chad Rallie, Nate Fuller, Brett Allen and Jessup Schroeder. Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Jess and Tom Zirbes. Edwin Leo Mussman was born May 19, 1934 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of William and Margaret (Diedrich) Mussman. He married Janice Murphy on June 12, 1954 in Clinton, Iowa.

Ed worked as a boilermaker apprentice and then as a boilermaker for Clinton Corn Processing for more than 29 years and later for ADM construction. He retired in 1996. He also owned and operated Mussman Welding for many years.

Ed was a member of the Odeon, the Moose Lodge and the Clinton Corn Grain Millers Union. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed camping, collecting beer cans and wintering with his wife in Texas from 1997 to 2012.

He is survived by his wife Janice of Clinton; children: Jeff (Tina) Mussman of Camanche, Michelle (Gary) Parker of Clinton, Denise (Jeff Lind) Mussman of Clinton, Ricky (Annette) Mussman of Clinton, Brian (Sandy) Mussman of Clinton and Terry Mussman of Clinton; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; five siblings: Helen (Pat) Bice of Clinton, Donna Thornbloom of Cordova, Illinois, Larry (Ike) Mussman of Camanche, Phyllis Mussman of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Don (Judy) Mussman of Cedar Falls, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.

Ed was preceded in death by parents, one sister, Dorothy and one brother, William.

Memorial may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Genesis Hospice.
