James A. Marston
James A. Marston, age 46, of Fulton, died Sunday, January 22, 2017 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.
Jim was born February 10, 1970 in Chicago the son of Glen Marston and Mary Marston. He married Kelly Rieck on October 8, 2010 in Morrison. He was employed at Drives in Fulton from 1990-2005 and at Jacobs in Clinton from 2006-2016. Jim enjoyed boating, grilling and cooking and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He was always willing to help anyone out especially his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Kelly of Fulton; his father, Glen (Sue) Marston of Marquand, Mo.; his mother, Mary Marston of Vancouver, Canada; one step daughter, Nicole (David) Lund of Bettendorf, Iowa; two step grandsons, Dylan Hythecker of Erie and Spencer Lund of Bettendorf, Iowa; one sister, Debbie Shelton of Vancouver, Canada; two step sisters, Kimberly (Mike) McLaughlin of Janesville, Wis. and Angela (Eric) Koberg of Eldridge, Iowa; one niece, Shaylynn Shelton of Madisonville, Ky.; one nephew, Austin Shelton of Vancouver, Canada; one great nephew, Skylar Stroh of Madisonville, Ky.; six step nieces, Madelyn McLaughlin of Janesville, Wis., Mersadie Manley, McKenzie Manley, Hayden Koberg, Sawyer Koberg and Raea Koberg all of Eldridge, Iowa; three step nephews, Jacob McLaughlin of Janesville, Wis., Mason Burrage and McKeagon Burrage both of Eldridge, Iowa; and one step great niece, Lily.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Earl Marston; one uncle, Kenneth Marston; one aunt, Avilia Ripoli; and one step sister, Christina Rigby.
Visitation will be Friday, January 27, 2017 from 5 7 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home, 1601 16th Avenue, in Fulton. Funeral services will be Friday at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
