Kathleen M. Rohling, age 52, passed away suddenly at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics on Tuesday March 28, 2017. Funeral services will be held on Saturday April 1, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lowden at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will also be held at the church on Friday March 31, 2017 from 4-8 p.m. Burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery in Wheatland.
Kathy was born on December 21, 1964 in Oregon, Illinois to Darrell Frederick and Patricia Ann Blobaum Harms. She married Steven Rohling on February 1, 2003 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Wheatland.
Kathy was a wife, mother and grandma and was loved by everybody that ever met her. She enjoyed traveling, camping, watching her kids play basketball, going to auctions & garage sales, and spending time with her grandkids. Kathy had a way of making people feel special and had a great smile.
She is survived by her husband, Steve; children, Ashley (Ethan Rogers) Schwien of DeWitt, Danielle (John) Norem of Clinton, Jacob Schwien of Wheatland, and Pedar & Luke Rohling at home; grandchildren, Adaline Schwien, J.J. Norem, and Nova Rogers; mother, Patricia Harms of Moberly, MO; siblings, Jim (Deneen) Harms of Moberly, MO, Cara Harms of Farber, MO, and Joel (Misty) Harms of Huntsville, MO; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Kathy was preceded in death by her father, father-in-law, and mother-in-law.
