Lawrence G. "Larry" Mussman, 85, of Camanche, IA, passed away, Friday, April 7, 2017 at his home.
Memorial Services will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Community Reformed Church, Clinton. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory assisted the family with arrangements. Lawrence Mussman was born September 12, 1931 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of William and Margaret (Diedrich) Mussman. He was a 1950 graduate of St. Mary's High School. He was a U.S. Navy Korean War Veteran. He married Idelette "Ike" Graff on September 1, 1956 in Clinton, Iowa.
Larry was employed as an installer for Western Electric Phone Company and he had been a barber and owned his own barber shop in Preston, Iowa. He and his wife were managers for National Self Storage in Albuquerque, NM and later moved to Ft. Sumner where he was the Fire Chief and an EMT.
Larry was a member of the Community Reformed Church, the Preston American Legion and he enjoyed woodworking and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Idelette "Ike" Mussman of Camanche; children, Michael (MiSuk) Mussman of Mountain Home, ID; Jacqueline (Randy) Bellman of Rio Rancho, NM and Mark Mussman of Dayton, OH; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; siblings: Helen (Pat) Bice of Clinton, Donna Thornbloom of Cordova, Illinois, and Don (Judy) Mussman of Cedar Falls, Iowa; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Mussman of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Janice Mussman of Clinton, Iowa .
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Dorothy and brothers, William, Edwin and Francis.
