MARJORIE H. MOEWS, 94, of Morrison, IL, died Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Resthave Home in Morrison.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 A.M. Monday, May 1, 2017 at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Morrison, IL, with Pastor Bob Burton officiating. A visitation will be from 4:00 7:00 P.M. Sunday, April 30th, at Bethesda Lutheran Church. The Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral home is in charge of arrangements. Cremation rites have been accorded. A private graveside service and interment of cremated remains will be held at a later date at the Oakwood Cemetery in Geneseo, IL.

Marge was born December 25, 1922 in Geneseo, IL to William A. and Flora (Kowitz) Young. She was a 1941 graduate of Geneseo Township High School. On April 18, 1946 she married Clyde R. McDougall in Geneseo. He died June 18, 1967. She married Stanley E. Moews on August 1, 1969 in Morrison. He died September 27, 2007. Marge was employed as a telephone operator for the Geneseo Telephone Company, and was an Avon Representative for 30 years. She was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church in Morrison where she served with W.E.L.C.A. and as a Sunday school teacher. She was also a member of Royal Neighbors of America, Morrison American Legion Auxiliary, Morrison Community Hospital Auxiliary, served as a Pink Lady Volunteer and as a Girl Scout and Brownies Leader. Marge enjoyed playing bridge, quilting and was an avid Chicago Cubs Fan. Memorials to Bethesda Lutheran Church and the American Cancer Society have been established.

Survivors include three daughters, Andrea Dalton, Adele (Ron) Nye and Alicia (Dean) Burkholder, all of Morrison, IL; three step-daughters, Rhonda (Ron) Hulteen of Sterling, IL, Jacquelina (Jay) Johnson of Peoria, IL and Margot (David) Fairbanks of Gladstone, MI; seven grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one step great-grandchild; three great-great-grandchildren.

Marge was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Clyde McDougall and Stanley Moews; twin sisters, Martha and Georgia Young; three brothers, Billy Young, Robert Young and James Young; a half-sister, Audrey Howard.
