Nedra Ann Hulseberg, age 88, of Savanna, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Big Meadows Nursing Home, Savanna. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m., Monday, September 18, 2017 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Savanna. Burial will take place in Savanna Township Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 6:00 p.m., Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna. A Rosary Service will be held at 3:30 p.m., prior to the visitation at the funeral home. Nedra was born April 16, 1929, the daughter of Carl Herb and Edna (Smith) Nelson in Glidden, Wisconsin. She attended Chicago Schools and graduated with the Class of 1946. Nedra married Harold Andersen in 1949. Harold passed away in 1987. She later met, fell in love, and married Charles Chuck Hulseberg in 1992. Chuck passed away in 1995.
Nedra worked for many years as a secretary. She also owned and operated the Radke Hotel in Savanna for 15 years. She was a devoted and loyal parishioner of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Savanna. Nedra enjoyed traveling across the country with her husband, Chuck in their motorhome. She also enjoyed dancing and playing cards, especially, Pinochle and 500.
Nedra will be dearly missed by five children, Harold (Rita) Andersen, Jr. of Charlotte, North Carolina, Kathy (Rick Bunkfeldt) LaShelle of Hartland, Wisconsin, Jeffrey (Molly) Andersen of Savanna, Sherry Andersen of Savanna, and Beth (Bill) Bird of Clinton, Iowa; two stepchildren, Dennis (Carol) Hulseberg of Wellman, Iowa, and Amy (Fred Smith) Kosier of Savanna ; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Anne Andersen; and two sisters-in-law, Donna Nelson and Alice Nelson. She is preceded in death by two husbands, Harold and Chuck; one son, Peter Andersen, and two brothers, David and Duane Nelson.
