Vickie J. Evers, 83, of Low Moor, passed away, on Monday, July 17, 2017, at Mercy Living Center - South, Clinton.
Funeral Services will be 11:00am, Thursday, July 20, 2017 at the Low Moor United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30am to the service time Thursday at the church. The Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family. Vickie Juanita Mangler was born on January 9, 1934 in Green Island, Iowa, the daughter of Melvin "Nibs" and Margaret (Krumviede) Mangler. She was a 1952 graduate of Miles High School. She married Merlin S. Johnson, he preceded her in death. She later married Donald "Carlye" Evers on December 12, 1980 in Low Moor.
Vickie was a member of the Low Moor United Methodist Church where she enjoyed helping with the kids club activities. She was a hardworker, enjoying canning, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Vickie is survived by her husband; Carlye of Low Moor; children: Steven Johnson of Camacnhe, Linda (Dale) Smith of DeWitt, Todd Johnson of Camanche, Elliott Johnson of Sydney, Australia, and Erik Johnson of Clinton; one granddaughter: Jennifer (Jason) Hansen of Pheonix, Arizona; two great-grandchildren: Tyler & Alexis; step children: David Evers of Camanche, Murray Evers of Coralville, Iowa, and Susan (Tom) Evers of Adel, Iowa; 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; siblings: Rob (Karen) Robinson of Clute, Texas, Richard (Patricia) Robinson of Goose Lake, Sue Robinson of DeWitt, Patricia Boettcher of Elmore, Minnesota, and Loula Thompson of Oregon. She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather: Dave Robinson; two brothers: Sam Robinson and Theodore Mangler; and a son: Merlin Johnson, Jr.
