CLINTON — Private funeral services were held today, Thursday, October 15, 2015 for Alvina L. Anderson, age 95, of Fulton, formerly of Clinton, who passed away Sunday, October 1, 2015 at Harbor Crest Nursing Home. Burial was in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. The Pape Funeral Home assisted the family. Alvina was born in Jackson County, Iowa, on September 9, 1920, the daughter of Willie and Mary (Huebbe) Gabel. She graduated from Andrew High School. Alvina married Louis Anderson on May 23, 1942 in Kahoka, Missouri. Louis passed away in 2008. Alvina was a homemaker and had worked at A.C. Nielsen Company. She was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed crocheting, crafts, playing cards, traveling and gardening. Alvina is survived by a daughter, Linda Saucier of Camanche; three grandchildren, Deanne (Alan) Davis of Sheboygan, WI, Deborah (Karl) Schmitz of Madrid, IA and Clayton “C.J.” (Tamara Hoyer) Unruh of Miles, Iowa, and three great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Austin and Drake. Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Orders placed in:
January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
