Camanche, Iowa - Becky Sue Krontz, 61, of Camanche, Iowa, passed away, surrounded by her family, on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. Honoring her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded with no services scheduled. Lemke Funeral Homes is honored to serve the family of Becky Krontz during this difficult time.

Becky was born August 30, 1963, in Dixon, Illinois, the daughter of James and Lou Dell (Burgess) Bartlett. She was a 1981 graduate of Clinton High School.

Becky was united in marriage to Kevin Krontz in 1982 in Clinton, Iowa. They would later divorce but remain good friends.

Becky began her life-long career in the Restaurant business at the age of 14, working for Vitale Joe's, in Clinton. Later, she became the owner of that Restaurant and rebranded the business as Vitale's. From there on she poured her life and soul into building Vitale's into one of the best authentic Italian Restaurants in the region. When vacation time came, Becky was headed to the beaches of Florida — her happy place. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren — family time was precious to her.

Becky is survived by her mother, Lou Dell of Clinton; one son. Chris (Jayde Everson) Krontz of Camanche; one sister, Sarah (Wayne Johnson) Wells of Pass Christian, Mississippi; one brother, James "Thomas" (Sena) Bartlett of Fulton, Illinios; four grandchildren, Jayden, Jianna, Jordan and Juliette of Camanche; one nephew, Eric Wells; special friend Mark Greibel of Hills Dale, Illinois; and life-long friend Angie Thomson of Dixon, Illinois, and the many friends she met throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Bartlett and one great-niece, Savannah.
