Camanche, Iowa - Berniece L. Bolte, 102, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Park Vista in Camanche.

Funeral Services will be 11:00am, Thursday, February 19, 2026 at the Lighthouse Baptist Church - Camanche. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Chad Bigwood, Keaton Kleppe, Kambren Bigwood, Spencer Fraley, Shane Fraley and Schrader Fraley. Honorary pallbearers will be Ethan Bolte, Rodney Walkup, Daniel Walkup Christian Bolte, Noah Bolte, and Sam Bolte. Visitation will be from 9:00am to the service time Thursday at the church. Berniece Lucille Mensinger was born on September 30, 1923, in Camanche the daughter of Carl and Florence (Wiebers) Mensinger. She was a 1940 graduate of Clinton High School. She married her high school sweetheart Robert Bolte on June 21, 1943 at the 1st Baptist Church in Long Beach, CA; he died September 6, 2016.

Berniece worked at the Shick Hospital, Kresge's and was a cook at the Camanche High School. She was active at the Lighthouse Baptist in Camanche; she enjoyed crafts especially quilting. She loved to tend to her garden and playing the piano. Her favorite pastime was napping.

Survivors include her daughter, Christi Rodriguez of Camanche; her son, Dan (Nancy) Bolte of Florence, Alabama; her grandchildren, Ethan (Lisa) Bolte, Chad (Lori) Bigwood, Rachel (Rodney) Walkup and Chere Fraley and several great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son-in-law: Oscar; a daughter-in-law: Sally; two brothers, and one sister.
