Camanche, Iowa - Betty Jean Abshire, 98, of Camanche, Iowa passed away at Park Vista on Thursday, August 22, 2024. Funeral services take place at 1 pm on Wednesday, August 28, at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel. A visitation occurs two hours prior from 11 am until the service hour at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be her Grandsons; Roger Bentley Jr., Brandon Bentley, Nicholas Abshire, Nathan Abshire, Raymond Abshire, and Great-Grandson; Brandon Bentley II. A graveside service will follow at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes is honored to serve the family of Betty Abshire during this difficult time.

Betty was born December 17, 1925 in Clinton, Iowa the daughter of Andrew and Honore (Wood) Armstrong. She was a 1943 graduate of Clinton High School.

She was united in marriage to Clarence Abshire on December 30, 1945 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clinton - together for 60 years until Clarence's passing in 2006.
