Clinton, Iowa - David W. Ball age 71 of Clinton passed away Thursday, April 30, 2026 at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. In following David's wishes cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial service will take place at 12:30 pm on Friday, May 8th at the Pape Funeral Home. Friends and family will gather from 11:00 am until the service time Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be a later date.

David was born in Clinton on March 14, 1955, the son of Robert and Joyce (Marx) Ball. He graduated from Clinton High School. David had been an auto mechanic and also did odd jobs around town. He enjoyed spending time with Rhonda, his beloved and devoted partner of over 40 years. They enjoyed night time drives and listening to music. Together, they built a love that remained a steady anchor through every season of life. His selflessness was evident in the way he showed up for others never hesitating to give whatever he had to help a friend.

David is survived by his beloved Rhonda; 3 brothers, Danny (Joann) Ball of Clinton, Perry (Tashua) Ball of Fulton, and Dennis Ball of Clinton; a son Michael Ball of Des Moines and a daughter, Summer.
