Clinton, Iowa - Frederick W. "Fred" Jensen age 84 of Clinton, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at his home. In following Fred's wishes cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will take place from 2:00 to 6:00 PM on Saturday, May 2nd at the Stockyard in Andover. Burial will be at Dierks Cemetery.
Fred was born in Clinton on February 28, 1942, the son of William "Bill" and Margaret (Hicks) Jensen. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1960. Fred was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Europe as a supply truck driver from 1961 to 1964. He married Carole Rogis on September 2, 1967 at Zion Lutheran Church in Clinton. Carole passed away on October 16, 2023. Fred owned and operated Jensen Oil Company on Main Ave. for many years. He was member of the LBPA and a huge supporter of the Lyons Business District. He enjoyed vintage Chevy cars, motorcycle rides with Carole, entertaining, playing poker, and spending time with his family and brothers-in-law.
Fred is survived by 2 children; Chad (Julie) Jensen and Jane (Ben) Fenzel both of Clinton; 2 grandsons, Jacob and Brendon Fenzel, and a great grandson, Wesley. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and a sister, Judy Beehler. Memorials may be made to Camp Courageous or Dierks Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
