Clinton, Iowa - Gertrude Gammon age 88 of Clinton, Iowa, passed away Sunday Dec. 7, 2025 at the Alverno Health Care Facility, Clinton. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday Dec. 10, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Clinton. Visitation will be held Wednesday 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Gertrude was born on Sept. 16, 1937 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Peter and Lillian (Groat) Carstens. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1956. Gertrude married Roger Gammon on Oct. 20, 1957 in Clinton, Iowa; he died in 2022. She worked at Burpee Seed Company, A.C. Nielsen, and was a clerk at Medical Associates. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed reading, doing ceramics, and bible study.

Gertrude is survived by her two children, Mike (Pat) Gammon of Albany, Illinois and Linda (Scott) Cunningham of Minocqua, Wisconsin; two grandsons, Joe (Kelsey) Gammon of Fulton, Illinois, and Andy Cunningham of Minocqua, Wisconsin; two great grandsons, Calvin and Alex Gammon; and a niece, Kim (Loren) Kisling of Wright City, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a sister, Beverly.
