Clinton, Iowa - Joyce M. Rickertsen, age 73, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away Friday, May 15, 2026 at Wheatland Manor in Wheatland, Iowa. A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday May 26, at Ascension Lutheran Church, Goose Lake, Iowa. Visitation will be 9 a.m. Tuesday until service hour at the church. Burial at Center Grove Cemetery. Joyce was born on May 21, 1952, in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Ernest and Pearl (Roseland) Schroeder. She graduated from Northeast High School in 1970. She married Kenneth Rickertsen on June 5, 1971, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Charlotte, Iowa; he died in 2019. Joyce worked for Paul's Discount, Clinton for over 30 years. She was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church.

Joyce is survived by her two sons, Brian (Lisa) Rickertsen of Calamus, Iowa, and Neal Rickertsen of Goose Lake, Iowa; three grandchildren, Aleisha (Matt) Haag, Austin (Lauren) and Alex Rickertsen; three great grandchildren, Trevor, Simon, and Hannah Haag; her brother, David (Jo) Schroeder of Goose Lake, Iowa; her sister-in-law, Sharon Rickertsen; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband - Kenneth, and sister - Gloria Schroeder.
