Kenneth E. Milder (Ken) Obituary

Kenneth Milder, 86, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 9, 2025. There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, March 16, 2025, from 1-4 p.m. at Snell-Zornig Funeral Home in Clinton. A private family burial will occur at a later date.

Ken was born to Anton and Gladys (Williams) on August 15, 1938, in Clinton. He married Patricia Jackson on May 5, 1962, in Clinton. They were married for 62 years before her passing on September 15, 2024. Together they built a great life and had four children — Jeff, Mark, Kevin, and their daughter, Jill Christine, who passed in infancy.

Ken stayed busy throughout his life. In their younger days, he and Pat were members of many bowling leagues, and were incredible dancers and roller skaters. He was a union carpenter for Jorgensen and Sons, Ringland Johnson, and Estes. He enjoyed wood working and home renovation projects for his family and friends. More recently, he enjoyed going to coffee and having lunch with his many groups of friends.

Ken is survived by his 3 sons - Jeff (Linda) Milder of Clinton; Mark Milder of Ottumwa, Iowa; Kevin (Kim) Milder of Lena, Illinois. Seven grandchildren — Derek Milder of Camanche, Iowa; Michael Milder of West Des Moines, Iowa; Andrew Milder of Peoria, Illinois; Stephanie (Sam) Schultz of Marion, Iowa; Noah (Marley) Milder of Kaukauna, Wisconsin; Grace Milder of Iowa City, Iowa, and Ally Milder of Lena, Illinois. Two great-grandchildren — Everett and Hallie. Two sisters — Anna Greenwalt of Bristol, Indiana, and Carol (John) Marshall of Springfield, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his wife, their daughter Jill, his brothers — Robert and Tony, and his sisters — Luella and Doris.
