Fulton, Illinois - LeeRoy Van Kampen, Sr., age 75 of Fulton, died Saturday, April 23, 2022 at his home.

LeeRoy was born on November 16, 1946, in Savanna, the son of Roy and Marie (Gretencord) Van Kampen. He graduated Fulton High School in the class of 1964. LeeRoy is a United States Army Veteran and served our country from 1965-1968. He got his Associates Degree from Clinton College, graduating in 1978 with honors. LeeRoy married Dianna Cronk on April 23, 1987 in Morrison. She preceded him in death on October 28, 2013. He worked at Equistar from 1960-1994, then at CF Industries from 1994-2009, retiring after 20 years. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and hunting.

Survivors include his children, Butch (April) of Fulton, Melissa Van Kampen of Fulton, and Shania Van Kampen of Clinton; eight grandchildren, Jacob Oldaker, Alyssa Van Kampen, Keegan Van Kampen, MaKai Hart, Aisha Van Kampen, Mekah Jo Malone, Corbin Van Kampen, and Jamison Horton; one great grandson, Laken; three brothers, Gary (Bernadine) Van Kampen of Fulton, Loren (Sue) Van Kampen of Fulton, and Roger (Sally) Van Kampen of Fulton; and his golfing buddy, Don Seil.

He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; and one brother, John Van Kampen.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the McDonald Funeral Home in Fulton, 1601 16th Avenue. Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Fulton Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fulton Township Cemetery.
