Marilyn A. Harris
Marilyn Ann Harris age 88 of Clinton, passed away Sunday March 15, 2020 at her daughter's home in Clinton. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday March 18th at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 12:00 noon until 2:00 PM at the funeral home. After the service, cremation rites will be accorded. Online condolences may be left at

Marilyn was born on December 12, 1931 in Clinton, the daughter of Thomas and Viola Sheridan. She was a Clinton High School graduate. She married Jack Harris on May 31, 1952 in Clinton. Jack passed away on July 26, 2009. She was employed at Mercy Hospital in admitting for over 36 years. Marilyn was a member of the Journey Church. She loved her family, shopping, collecting "Beanie Babies", and traveling, especially to Colorado to see her son and to California to see her sister. Marilyn never met a person she didn't like. She enjoyed going to lunches with her co-workers and spending time with her many friends. She will be sadly missed by her family.

Marilyn is survived by her three children, Debra (Tim) Geiger of Clinton, Stephen Harris of LaPorte, CO, and David (Martha) Harris of Fulton, IL; four grandchildren, Thomas and Zachary Geiger, Jonathan Harris, and Rachel (Jesse) Ramirez; her first great grandchild due in August and her sister, Jo Ann Totten of Ventura, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Memorials may be made to the Journey Church.

I worked for many years with Marilyn at Mercy Hospital. She was a dear person and so much fun. My deepest sympathies to all of her family.
