Mary was born on April 4, 1946 in Redwood Falls, MN the daughter of Donald and Delores (Neuenburg) Eischens. She married Robert Schmidt on June 11, 1966 in Clinton, IA; he died in 2010. Mary worked at Farm-n-Fleet of Clinton as a price coordinator for many years. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Clinton. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her church family. Mary took great pride in her yard work and her flowers.

Mary is survived by her two daughters, Kathryn (Joe Barton) Schmidt of Wilton, IA and Karyn (Christopher) Schmidt-Kimbrell of Davenport, IA; three grandchildren, Zachary, Elizabeth, and Dylan Delever; her three sisters and her brother; her two sisters-in-law, Rosemary Eischens and Sally Schmidt; and a brother-in-law, Will Schmidt. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Robert.
