Clinton, Iowa - Myrna J. Gifford, 90, of Clinton passed away Thursday, March 12, 2026 at her home.


Funeral Services will be 11:30 am, Monday, March 16, 2026 at Zion Lutheran Church in Clinton. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the service time at the church. Myrna Jean Meyer was born June 16, 1935 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Otto Charles and Laverne Dorothy (Dierks) Meyer. She was a 1953 graduate of Lyons High School. She married Gary Gifford on August 18, 1957 in Clinton, Iowa.


Myrna was a homemaker. She was an exceptional baker and enjoyed baking cakes for her grandkids' birthdays. She loved time spent fishing with her husband, spending time with her children and grandchildren and truly loved the Christmas season.


She is survived by her husband Gary Gifford of Clinton; three children: Lorrie Gifford of Tuscola, Illinois, Brian (Cindy) Gifford of Clinton and Kent (Melissa) Gifford of Camanche; grandchildren: Katie, Anna, Rachel, Shannon, Ryan, Ben, Austin, Daniel, Kyle and Kayla; and 15 great grandchildren with two more on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Judy Denkman and one grandson Adam.
