Clinton, Iowa - Penny Sue Geronzin, 63, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away surrounded family and friends on Thursday, November 13, 2025. Honoring her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 25, from 10 a.m. to noon at Lemke Funeral Homes-South Chapel. A private service will take place following the visitation. Burial immediately follows the funeral service at Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

Penny was born January 24, 1962, in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Delbert and Betty (Strating) Nissen. Penny was a graduate of Clinton High School. She was united in marriage to Dwayne Geronzin on July 4, 1990, in Camanche, Iowa.

Penny had been employed by the Clinton Garment Factory and Custom Pak. Penny also operated her own cleaning business.

Penny was a devoted caregiver for her family even as her health deteriorated during the last few years of her life. She was a simple woman who was satisfied by the companionship of her family and an ice-cold Pepsi. She embraced the summer heat and spent much time sunbathing. She enjoyed the holidays, especially Christmas. Above all, she loved her children and grandchildren very much and will be incredibly missed.

Penny is survived by her husband, Dwayne of Clinton, Iowa; her son, Jason (Sierra) Geronzin of Clinton, Iowa and her daughter, Samantha Geronzin of Savanna, Illinois; six grandchildren: Annabelle, Charlotte, Madalyn, Claire, Zoe and Peyton; her brother, Ken (Susan) Nissen of Camanche, Iowa, and her sister, Annette Callahan of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; and her life-long friend, Kathy Rickertsen. As well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Preceding Penny in death are her parents and one sister, Adele Nissen.
