SAVANNA - Randy D. Boomgarden, 74, passed away Saturday, November 20, 2021, at the Polo Rehabilitation, Polo, IL. He was born on September 28, 1947, in Belvidere, IL; the son of Douglas M. and Betty L. (Rhode) Boomgarden. He married Nancy J. Ellstrom on November 23, 1990 in Fulton., IL. He worked as a farmer, an auctioneer, pilot, and a HVAC. He then worked for Carroll Services in Lanark, IL for about 15 years, retiring in 2012. While working in all his different vocations, he accomplished visiting all 50 states.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy; two sons, Steve Myers of Fulton and Daniel (Barbara) Myers of LaGrange Park, IL; three grandchildren, Brock Myers and Jakub and Owen Myers; a sister, Cindy (William) Taylor of Bozeman, MT; and a brother, Michael (Victoria) Boomgarden of Aurora, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a infant brother, Larry Boomgarden.
Cremation rites have been accorded. It was Randy's wish to have no services.
