Charlotte, Iowa - Sandra "Sandy" Busch, 68, of Charlotte, Iowa, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on Friday, December 6, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Charlotte, Iowa, preceded by a visitation from noon to 2 p.m. A burial ceremony at Center Grove Cemetery will follow the Celebration of Life.

Sandy was born on February 14, 1956, in Clinton, Iowa, to Edward and Dorothy (Kane) Nellist. She graduated from Clinton High School and earned an Associate's Degree in Business from Clinton Community College.

On June 15, 1977, she married James "Jim" Busch at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Charlotte, Iowa. Jim and Sandy shared 47 years of love and companionship.

Sandy was a dedicated member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and worked as a Secretary for the Public Works Department of the City of Clinton. Sandy's greatest joys in life were her grandchildren who she devoted much of her time to. She enjoyed shopping, spending time with her sisters, playing Scrabble with her Aunt Dorothy, and caring for her beloved dogs. She was a passionate sports fan, especially cheering on her children and grandchildren, and was a devoted St. Louis Cardinals fan. Above all, she cherished her family and will be deeply missed by them.

Sandy is survived by her husband, Jim; her youngest son, Jamie (Amber); her grandchildren, Brandon, Nicholas, Mason, Kinsley, and Emelyn; her sisters, Vickie Rinks, Lynn Enwright, and Dawn Christenson; and her many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Sandy was preceded in death by her oldest son, Nicholas, and her parents.
