Clinton, Iowa - Thomas "Tom" Erwin Flint, 82, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away at the Alverno on Saturday, October 19, 2024. Honoring his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A visitation will occur from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, October 26. A brief prayer service will conclude the visitation. Burial will take place at a later date. Lemke Funeral Homes is honored to serve the family of Thomas Flint during this difficult time.

Thomas was born July 16, 1942, in Lacrosse, Wisconsin, the son of Arnold and Helen (Price) Flint. He was a graduate of Tomah High School. He was united in marriage to Laura Huber on June 13, 1964, in DeWitt, Iowa — together for 60 years.

Tom was a lead Custodian for the Clinton School System, mainly working at Washington Middle School.

Early in life, Tom loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. While Pheasant hunting, he loved watching his dogs work the fields. Before his health declined, he loved shooting pool at the Erickson Center and socializing with friends there. He also enjoyed golfing during that time. Later in life Tom enjoyed watching old western movies and reading. Also later in life, he enjoyed taking abandoned cats in and caring for them.

Tom is survived by his wife Laura of Clinton; two sons — Michael (Michelle) Flint of Tomah, Wisconsin, and Brian Flint of Clinton; one granddaughter — Tiffany Flint of Tomah, Wisconsin; many cousins and many friends.

Preceding Tom in death were his parents, several aunts, uncles and cousins.
